The mighty Taku River winds for hundreds of miles from its source near the massive Atlin and Teslin Lakes of British Columbia to its final drainage in Taku Inlet, about 15 miles south of Juneau. The Taku River system is the largest unprotected wilderness river system on the western shore of North America.
